With Australia Day coming up, I thought it’s the perfect opportunity to create a cooking series! This recipe will be the first of four recipes.
This burger is soooo tasty, and even though it isn’t the healthiest of burgers, it still tastes fresh!
4 beef patties
1 red onion, finely sliced
4 slices tasty cheese
4 rashers of bacon, rind removed
4 hamburger buns, halved and toasted
8 slices beetroot
4 pineapple rings
1 tomato, sliced
1. Preheat oven at 150c. Cook patties in a frying pan approx 2-3 minutes each side. Once cooked through, transfer to baking tray and top with a slice of cheese per pattie. Place in oven until cheese melts.
2. Fry bacon approx 2 minutes per side.
3. Time to make your burger! Spread aioli on burger bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, onion, beetroot, pineapple, patty and bacon. Cover with bun lid.
Serve and enjoy!!
