Bacon and Cheese Cob Dip

We recently went to a friends house for dinner and and I wanted to bring something to contribute. Much better than a store brought dips and crackers I thought I would mix it up a little and make a delicious cob loaf dip. Everybody loved it and it was eaten up pretty quickly. The best part is that the whole lot can be eaten including the crusts.
 INGREDIENTS
 250g bacon, diced
 1 large onion, diced
 250g cream cheese
 1 1/2 cups cream
 2 cups mozzarella, grated
 1 cup tasty cheese, grated
1 cob loaf (make sure you buy it from an actual bakers store and they give it to you in a brown paper bag)
 METHOD
1.Cut the top off the cob loaf and pull the soft bread out. Place the top and the stuffing aside.
2.Chop up onion and bacon, place in a bowl
3.Add the softened cheese, cream and grated cheeses into the bowl. Mix well and fill the cob loaf 4.Place bread lid on and cover in foil. Bake at 180C for 45 minutes on an oven tray.
5.Remove foil and cook for a further 10 minutes. Add the bread pieces around the side on baking tray and bake for 5-10 minutes until crisp.
6.Serve on a platter with bread pieces around the outside of the cob loaf, use the pieces as the dippers.
